Sunday, April 12 at 2 p.m.
Enjoy a social afternoon with Members & Volunteers at the Ford Piquette Plant Museum. This year’s gathering will feature a special tribute to one of Piquette’s greatest champions, Trustee Emeritus Steve Shotwell, for his extraordinary efforts to preserve and share the birthplace of the Model T. A brief overview of museum activities in 2025 will be presented by CEO, Jill Woodward. Light refreshments and adult beverages will be served. Space is limited — so hurry to reserve your spot! Tickets are $25 or $15 for museum Members.

Cars & Coffee
Saturdays: May 9, June 13 and October 10
Come show off your wheels on the second Saturdays of May, June and October from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Enjoy Detroit’s eclectic community of antique, classic, quirky and always fabulous rides. All wheels are welcome. Free coffee and donuts while supplies last. A/C and restrooms available on the first floor of the museum. Free parking in the museum lot. Drivers of antique/classic vehicles receive one free admission ticket valued at $20.

“Hudson’s: The Store that Bankrolled an Automaker”
Saturday, June 13 at 11 a.m.
Bruce Kopytek, author of Hudson’s: Detroit’s World-Famous Department Store, will explore the history of Hudson’s from its inception in 1881 through the Piquette era and beyond, as well as touch on the memorable and performance-oriented Hudson automobiles and Hudson Motor Car Company. Coffee and breakfast items will be served. Hudson car owners will receive VIP parking in front of the museum! Tickets are $25 or $15 for Members.

Route 66 at 100!
Saturday, July 25 at 11 a.m.
John Lacko, celebrated photographer and automotive historian, has spent over 18 years traveling and documenting Route 66. This presentation celebrates the 100th anniversary of the legendary American highway known as the Mother Road. Breakfast foods and beverages will be served. Tickets are $25 or $15 for members.

The “James Couzens – His Own Man, The Powerhouse Behind Ford”

Ray Swetman, longtime docent at the Mack Avenue Ford Plant at Greenfield Village, has spent years researching the life of James Couzens. As Henry Ford’s Vice President and General Manager, Couzens indelibly shaped American industry. As Mayor of Detroit and then U.S. Senator from Michigan, he made his mark on the policies of a nation. Learn more about this towering figure in Michigan history.

Model T Birthday Party
Sunday, September 27 10 am – 3 pm
The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant Museum celebrates the invention of Model T with a birthday party including free rides, crafts for the kids, food and shopping. Activities in the museum’s first-floor event space are free. The line for free T rides will form at the historic front entrance. Birthday cake will be served at Noon while supplies last.

Motor City Origins Tour
Saturday, November 28 at 5:30 p.m.
Enjoy a special, after-hours tour of the Ford Piquette Plant Museum that explores the history of Detroit’s Milwaukee Junction neighborhood, where the Motor City got its start. This event will highlight how Ford, Dodge, Cadillac, Studebaker, Anderson Electric and others launched Detroit as the automotive capital of the world.
A social start to the evening includes a complimentary Happy Half-Hour and light bites, followed by a theater presentation and guided tour of the museum’s rare collection of antique vehicles all made in Milwaukee Junction after the turn of the 20th century. Tickets are $25 for museum Members and $40 for non-members.
